As a professional shareholder, Luxempart operates along two separate lines:
- Significant long-term minority direct investments and co-investments in listed and non-listed companies in Luxembourg and its neighboring countries that are sourced and managed from its Luxembourg head office, and
- Private equity investments with own and associated specialized teams based in Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, France and Italy.

Due to the expansion of its long-term direct investments portfolio, Luxempart is recruiting for its Luxembourg office an experienced:

Senior Investment Manager (m/f) - (Ref 030518)

As an Investment Manager, you would be expected to take on new responsibilities quickly, enjoy working in a small, transparent and entrepreneurial team and be able to work independently. Every team member will be able to add to the monitoring and decision-making process and will also have responsibility for the management of selected positions in the portfolio subject to experience.

Mission:

  • Monitoring of, and regular reporting on, listed and non-listed portfolio companies (main sectors: insurance, satellites, energy, real estate, e-commerce, health care, education);
  • Regular valuation of non-listed portfolio and target companies;
  • Participate in deal sourcing initiatives;
  • Regular in-depth market, company and financial analysis on portfolio companies;
  • Execute due diligence and deal closing operations such as attend management meetings and site visits, in-depth market, company and financial analysis, liaise with external experts, valuation, return simulations;
  • Assist in preparing and negotiating exits of portfolio lines;
  • Prepare investment notes for decision taking.

Profile:

  • University degree in economics, business administration or finance; CFA or MBA or additional engineering degree would be advantageous;
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in an investment company or fund pursuing a fundamentally driven, active approach, alternatively in investment banking or corporate finance, M&A or Big4;
  • Thereof at least 3-5 years of professional experience in analyzing and assessing as well as investing in public and private companies;
  • Relevant business network;
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills;
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills;
  • Rigorous, flexible, precise and well organized;
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and social skills, but also able to work independently;
  • Able to work in an international environment;
  • Fluent in English and French, German would be an advantage.
